Expression of Interest – Remote Area Nurse (RAN) Northern Territory

*Salary: $75 to $100 per hour DOE/Location of contract, plus super, accommodation, and travel support. Please note that pay rates will vary from contract to contract pending the remoteness of the contract location in the NT and experience of the nurse.

Your Toolkit:

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
• At least 5 years of experience as a RAN or RN in ED or remote primary care
• REC (Remote Emergency Cert), MEC (Maternity Emergency Cert), and other relevant certifications
• Immuniser provider certification
• On-call experience
• Manual Driver’s license & 4WD certification
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) and BLS (Annually)
• ISTAT competency

• Aseptic technique
• Medication safety
• Blood collection
• Manual handling
• Fire and emergency procedures
• Infection control
• Aggression minimization
• Clinical deterioration management
• After-hours assessment and communication
• Early sepsis recognition and management
• Cultural security and safety relevant to the Northern Territory
