I Am Trained Overseas, How Do I Register As Sonographer In Australia?

To work in Australia as a Sonographer, you must apply for registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR), with whom you will need to undertake a Migration Assessment with ASMIRT. They will assess your qualifications gained outside of Australia and issue you with a Certificate of Recognition in Ultrasound. This certificate is required to register with Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry, under the Category 1B.

Please note: All applications are assessed on an individual basis with due diligence.

The ASMIRT has also been authorised by the Australian Government Australian, Department of Home Affairs to assess and issue skills assessments ANZSCO Code 251214 Sonographer
