Clinical Nurse Consultant
Short Term Contract for an experienced CNC in the stunning city of Launceston, Tasmania. ASAP start to 20 December 2024.
Join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in the Children and Youth Mental Health Community Services Team based in Launceston. This exciting role will see you working primarily within a community setting, focusing on intake assessments, brief interventions in the Emergency Department and Children’s Ward as required, as well as providing follow-up and risk assessments for clients referred to the service. You will play a key part in delivering holistic mental health care to children and youth in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake intake assessments and brief interventions for children and youth in the Emergency Department and Children’s Ward.
- Provide follow-up care and conduct risk assessments for clients referred to the service in the community setting.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate relevant mental health policies and procedures.
- Provide assertive case management for both inpatient and community settings.
- Lead and coordinate mental health projects, ensuring quality service delivery and improved client outcomes.
Desirable Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience relevant to the role.
- Post-graduate qualification or working towards one, in a mental health-related field.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
- Current Driver’s License.
