Clinical Nurse Consultant

Join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in the Children and Youth Mental Health Community Services Team based in Launceston. This exciting role will see you working primarily within a community setting, focusing on intake assessments, brief interventions in the Emergency Department and Children’s Ward as required, as well as providing follow-up and risk assessments for clients referred to the service. You will play a key part in delivering holistic mental health care to children and youth in need.

• Undertake intake assessments and brief interventions for children and youth in the Emergency Department and Children’s Ward.
• Provide follow-up care and conduct risk assessments for clients referred to the service in the community setting.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate relevant mental health policies and procedures.
• Provide assertive case management for both inpatient and community settings.
• Lead and coordinate mental health projects, ensuring quality service delivery and improved client outcomes.

Desirable Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience relevant to the role.
• Post-graduate qualification or working towards one, in a mental health-related field.
• Current Working with Children Registration.
• Current Driver’s License.
