What do you love about Aussie Locums?
I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this team. The atmosphere here is supportive and fun, creating a space where everyone feels comfortable and valued. What I love most is how we’re constantly encouraged to push our boundaries, embrace challenges, and achieve goals we never imagined possible. We genuinely celebrate each other’s successes, not just professionally but in our personal lives as well. Aussie feels like family—a place where everyone is motivated to grow, thrive, and support one another.
What is your greatest source of enjoyment in your job?
I absolutely love the feeling of being given a project or task and seeing it through to completion. There’s a real sense of satisfaction in tackling a challenge, breaking it down into manageable steps, and ultimately achieving the desired outcome. I thrive on working behind the scenes, managing details and meeting objectives. I take pride in finding innovative ways for our company to grow, whether by optimising processes, discovering new opportunities, or enhancing our services. It’s deeply rewarding to see how my efforts contribute to our team’s and company’s success.
Where do you feel you add value to candidates who are looking for work?
I add value to candidates by making sure our workplace policies are always up-to-date and continuously exploring ways to enhance our practices. This helps ensure that we provide a great environment where candidates feel supported and valued.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in your career?
Embrace challenges! Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and tackle new tasks. It’s an awesome way to pick up new skills and show you can handle more complex stuff. Plus, it’s often where you’ll find the most growth and learning.
If you asked a client to describe you, what would they say?
A client would describe me as a caring and easy-going individual who is approachable and supportive. I take the time to understand their needs and always strive to create a positive, stress-free experience, ensuring they feel valued and well-supported.
What is the most unusual work-related task you have ever had?
In my early 20s, I worked for a tourism company were participating in the tours was essential for effectively selling them. I encountered some truly terrifying experiences that I’d never repeat(I’m not an adrenaline junkie), but there were also amazing moments and memories made. One of my favourite memories was staying on a haunted pirate ship in the Whitsundays.
Can you tell us about the most memorable moment of your career?
It might not seem like a major moment, but organising the Aussie Locums merchandise for the ASA Conference was truly rewarding. I loved watching our stand come together and seeing how much everyone enjoyed our merchandise. There’s something great about knowing we brightened someone’s day with our cool swag.
Is there a client, candidate or project that stands out?
Absolutely! We have so many wonderful clients and candidates that truly stand out. We’re lucky to work with fantastic people every day, and we’re especially grateful for our repeat clients and locums. Building strong relationships with them is one of the best parts of what we do, and it’s incredible to watch these connections grow over time. We genuinely love speaking with them and being a part of their journeys!
