Salary details: $60 – $70 p/h + Super. DOE

Work from home and travel to remote communities as required.  You will Ideally be based in Queensland.

  
Our client is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of extension. You will work with the housing modification team to provide solutions for people with disability, long term health conditions and with the elderly. The position will be structured as a working from home role, with travel to the communities when required (usually 1 or 2 occasions a month).  Enjoy your work, while supporting remote communities.

The department provide housing modification solutions to people with disability, long term health conditions and ageing members of the communities.  They are a proud to have a culture where people feel safe, valued and respected.  They organise all travel and accommodation for your visits to community.  You will work closely with other OT’s and the delivery/construction teams onsite.

  • Home modification designs.
  • Assessments for modifications, completed in person while in community.
  • Collaborating with other allied health and constructions staff to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively, using well developed communication skills, with all stakeholders.

  
The skills and experience I need for this job

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to meet credentialing requirements.
  • Experience in home modifications is desirable.
