All about my new employer?
We are working with QLD Health to provide ultrasound locum cover in Kingaroy.  This hospital is considered the hub hospital of the South Burnett.  They offer, amongst other services, and emergency, maternity, and outpatient departments.  They do refer to the private practice in Kingaroy where necessary.  
  
All about the role
This role is a locum role where we require a casual sonographer to provide coverage from 16th September to 27th September.    Whilst you will be the sole sonographer, there is support provided by the department together with assistance from the sonographers and radiologists in Toowoomba. 
  
They are a regional hospital with a busy MGP service.  Experience with obstetric and gynae scans is essential.  You will also need to perform general ultrasound, small parts, and there is some limited MSK and vascular work.  The patient mix is predominantly obstetrics / gynaecology, emergency and inpatient work. There is no radiologist on-site.  The scans are performed using a Canon Aplio i800.  Accommodation support is offered, please note that it is not pet friendly.
  

• While on assignment, you will report into the chief radiographer. 
• Dates : 16th to 27th September, will consider 1 week.

  
The skills and experience I need for this job

• Experience using a Canon Aplio i800 machine will be highly advantageous
• Demonstrated experience working in a regional hospital where you have been the sole sonographer
• High level scanning experience across obstetrics and general scans
• Correct working rights for Australia
• ASAR Membership
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as a sole sonographer where a radiologist is not on site
• QLD Health Credentialling is required – our team can support you with this.
