Lead ultrasound services in Bowen Hospital on a 2-week coastal locum with strong autonomy. Frontline hospital imaging, coastal lifestyle.

The role:
Step into a key frontline position leading ultrasound services at Bowen Hospital, delivering high-impact imaging across emergency, inpatient and outpatient care. As the primary Sonographer on site, you’ll work autonomously within a small team, providing expert scans across a varied caseload while supporting a busy regional health service.

Position: Locum dual radiographer / sonographer (however, Sonographer is the primary role)
Hourly pay rate – great market leading locum rate + super + up to $200 per week towards accommodation.

The Essentials for This Role:

• ASAR-accredited Sonographer confident working independently
• Strong scanning ability across obstetrics, general, paediatrics, small parts & some vascular
• Comfortable working without an onsite Radiologist (phone support only)
• Familiarity with hospital systems such as Qdoc, Impax or ieMR desirable
• Able to meet mandatory training requirements (BLS, manual handling, infection control, OVP) + QLD Health Credentialling.
