The role:
This locum Sonographer/Radiographer role at Katherine Hospital offers up to $1200 travel reimbursement, supplied accommodation, and pool car access. Work weekdays with on-call coverage as the sole on-site clinician, performing ultrasound (general, O&G, vascular, paediatric, MSK, small parts, FAST) and radiography across inpatient, outpatient, urgent weekend, and remote community clinics using Canon Aplio 500 and GE Versana machines. With no on-site radiologist, you’ll practice at an advanced scope while enjoying the unique outback lifestyle of Katherine.

• Dual Modality & Advanced Autonomy: A locum Sonographer/Radiographer position where you work as the sole on-site clinician across a wide ultrasound skillset and X-ray, operating at an advanced scope with no radiologist on site.

The Essentials for This Role:

• Current ASAR accreditation and AHPRA registration.
• Dual modality skills: ultrasound (general, O&G, vascular, paediatric, MSK, small parts, FAST) and radiography.
• Ability to work autonomously as the sole on-site clinician with no radiologist.
• Flexible for on-call and urgent cases, including inpatient, ED, weekend, and remote community outreach.
• Strong adaptability and communication in remote, resource-limited settings.
