All about the role
The Locum Sonographer position at Port Pirie Hospital offers a diverse and dynamic caseload, with a primary focus on obstetrics and general imaging. The role involves working with GE Machines and handling a mix of inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department cases. There is a radiologist on site approximately 2 days per week and one other part time sonographer.  The role is Monday to Friday, with on call being rare and only required for dual sonographer / radiographers. Locum sonographers are expected to adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality care and professional standards are maintained throughout the assignment.

The skills and experience I need for this job  

• Experience working in a hospital setting
• Be comfortable with a case mix of of general ultrasound | MSK | Ob and Gynae and Vascular scans
• Experience suing GE machines
• Require minimal guidance and supervision
• Adhere to the hospitals protocols, policies and procedures.
