Our client is a well equipped hospital located in the heart of the Northern Rivers region. The hospital provides a wide range of services, including emergency care, inpatient and outpatient imaging, maternity, and specialist clinics.

The medical imaging department is supported by a dedicated team of sonographers, radiologists, and allied health professionals who work collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. 
  
A little about the role:
 
You will join a friendly and professional team in Tweed Valley as a Locum Sonographer performing a broad range of high-quality scans including General, Obstetric, and Acute cases. Our client is a busy medical imaging department covering inpatient, ED, antenatal, and fracture clinic scans. You will provide patient-focused care while ensuring comfort and safety during all procedures.

  
Duties you will be responsible for:

• Perform a broad range of ultrasound scans, primarily on Philips EPIQ equipment.
• Provide a high level of patient care at all times.
• Follow the protocols and procedures of the department.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Shifts: 8:00–16:00 or 10:00–18:00, Monday to Friday. Public holidays are not worked.

Skills and Experience:

• Experienced in General and Obstetric ultrasound, including inpatient, ED, antenatal, and acute cases.
• Comfortable performing scans on ICU or bed-bound patients using portable equipment if required.
• Effective communication with patients, staff, and other medical personnel.
• ASAR Accredited Medical Sonographer.
• Ability to meet national credentialing requirements – our team can guide you through this process.
