We are seeking a locum ASAR Registered Sonographer with strong obstetric and general ultrasound skills to support a hospital in Far North Queensland.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ASAR Registered Sonographer for a locum placement at a busy remote hospital located in Far North Queensland. Commencing 5 January to 9 January 2026.

This is a QLD Health role, which will require credentialing in line with their protocols.  Our team can step you through this.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a broad range of ultrasound scans using Canon Aplio i800 ultrasound machines with high attention to detail, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
• Confidently work in a rural and remote hospital setting, managing a busy caseload with no Radiologists on site.
• Provide clear and effective communication with both colleagues and patients, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Deliver excellent patient care at all times, adapting to the needs of a diverse and often challenging environment.
• Work Monday to Friday, 0800-1630, with no expected on-call or weekend shifts.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience in rural and remote locations, with strong obstetric skills including nuchal scans and related scans.
• Unrestricted ASAR registration.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote hospital setting
• Demonstrated ability to meet credentialing requirements for locum roles in rural QLD healthcare settings.
• Ability to manage a flexible caseload and adapt to patient flow
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
