Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:

• Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
• A 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment
• Residential aged care for 30 residents at Harbourside Lodge
• An extensive range of primary and community services for the local community  

PDH delivers services from a single campus, employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290, and has an active volunteer workforce. The People and Culture Unit sits within the Corporate Services Directorate, with other Units including Finance, Building Services, Food Services, Environmental Services, Executive Support, Administration and Health Information. (credit: Portland District Hospital)
  
All about the role, skills and experience

• Hours: 8.30am-5pm (half hour for lunch, x2 scheduled tea breaks @ 15mins) Monday- Friday
• Fulltime 80hrs p/f
• Working in a team setting, ability to also work independently.
• ​​Shared on call 7 days per week (currently between 3 people, locum being the 4th) from 5pm onwards, 10hr breaks provided. 
• Inpatient and outpatient work load (some booked and some walk in service)
• Equipment all DR (Digital Radiography), x1 General X-ray room (Cannon), Phillips Incisive 128 slice CT scanner, Hologic Mammography Unit, DR portable X-ray Unit (Cannon), Phillips II (Theatre), DR OPG/cone beam (Newtom) Hologic DEXA
• Majority of work load shared between General Radiography and CT, minimal Theatre required, DEXA and OPG not essential for locum 
• Cannulation experience (CT) desired, not essential – we do have a department Nurse to assist with CT/daily scanning, patient set up 
• Radiologist on site Fridays weekly for interventional procedures- available by phone 24/7- very approachable team, willing to assist with queries and protocols
• AHPRA registration and Victorian radiation licence
